Governor Lee’s Executive Order and a Note of Thanks

TCEP members,

TCEP leadership (Drs Mendiratta and Smith) was directly involved in the efforts to create this executive order with Governor Lee. The efforts to approach the Governor with concerns about the (predictably) rapid spread of the COVID-19 virus in Tennessee developed in short order over the last few days.

A heartfelt thank you is in order to each of you for what you do day in and day out to serve the citizens of Tennessee. It now seems more appropriate than ever to say thank you as we are faced with the ongoing and future challenges of providing the extraordinary emergency care for which you are known in the face of the COVID-19 epidemic.

Once again, thank you for what you do every day and especially now.

Stay safe.
S. Mendiratta, MD, TCEP President
